‘Kapowai' means 'dragonfly' in te reo Māori, one of New Zealand’s official languages.
 
Kapowai Cottage is a premium self-contained two-bedroom holiday retreat situated in Holdens Bay near the airport on the east side of Lake Rotorua. The home is intimate and sophisticated, with a large covered outdoor relaxing and dining space, with views to Lake Rotorua.
 
For your comfort, you’ll find quality pillows, duvets, blankets, and linen for the queen-sized beds. Double-glazed windows and reverse cycle heating/air conditioning units in the main bedroom and living area keep temperatures suitable year-round.
 
The house also features a fully equipped kitchen, modern bathroom with heated towel rail, and laundry (with washer and dryer). During peak times, a light continental breakfast is included featuring seasonal, locally sourced and homemade items.
 
You and your family can enjoy the two-hole mini putt onsite, as well as free, unlimited, ultrafast fibre Wi-Fi, and smart Android TV with apps for your viewing.
 
Amenities include off-street parking in a quiet neighbourhood, nearby nature walks, reserve, playground and lake beach. A 10-minute drive in one direction takes you to the world-famous Redwoods Forest and to the city centre, and Rotorua Airport is just five minutes away in the other direction.
