“Food is a big part of Indian culture, and we love to provide for everyone,” say Citron Café owners Chanchal and Varun. “We also want to incorporate our local culture and influences into the café.”

The menu sets them apart. Chanchal is an amazing and creative chef. Her menu reflects not only her Indian culture but caters to local palates – Kiwi classics with an Indian twist. Dishes such as the Warm Winter Porridge has a beautiful sweet spice alongside delicious fresh seasonal fruit and homemade granola reflects this.
Varun runs the front of house, ensuring the eighthirty coffee drinks are on par and everyone’s happy.
Everything is made from scratch, in small batches to ensure quality, freshness and variety. The menu changes seasonally and is based on product availability.
