Forget camping in an Airstream – opt for an Airstream lookalike to take you on a lake cruise you’ll never forget.
The clever owners of Pure Cruise have outdone themselves with this one! They have designed and hand built a unique 9.2-metre pontoon vessel – the shape, form and finish drawing inspiration from classic 1960s Airstream camping trailers, Second World War aircraft, and Italian speed boats!
The exterior is comprised of polished, aluminium, hand-crafted panels, with a few thousand rivets joining the framing and panels. The side windows are curved acrylic and slide up into the roof while the internal frames are left exposed giving a stripped-back aircraft look and feel inside.
The sides fold out and allow the couches to pivot out over the water so you can get so much closer to the native bush, caves and thermal waters during your cruise on Lake Rotoiti.
To top things off, The Airstream Project is battery-powered, making your adventure eco friendly and silent, allowing you to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
